Create your space saving bee habitat!

Happy Sunday!

While today has been quite a damp day we have took this opportunity to do what we do best, that is keeping busy and helping our environment. We have been very busy bees making our incredible products; however, we recognize the importance of taking time out for ourselves and to appreciate the world we live in, therefore today we enjoyed up cycling some old pallets into convenient yet chic planters.

These planters not only recycle old materials but also are brilliant way to make use of a small garden like ours, as you can see, they are stunning to look at but also let’s not forget the benefits for our friends the bee.

Our gardens are vital for bee’s as they can supply a brilliant range of plants and flowers unlike your common countryside. Let’s take this moment to remember that around 13 of the UK’s bee species are now extinct with 35 others under threat, this means bee’s need our help more than ever! Therefore, adding some form of planters filled with a range of bright, vibrant flowers and plants is a great place to start. We achieved this today very easily, cheap and quickly with these painted pallets filled with a range of flowers! I would like to highlight we will not be using any chemicals or pesticides on any of our flowers/ plants as this does endanger the bee.

Also, as you can see, we have also began attempting to grow some of our own fruit and vegetables, we have started with a small strawberry plant as we love strawberries and have found they fit in our small garden nicely. Now not only will growing your own fruit and veggies result in cheaper produce for yourself and less packaging, helping our environment yet again. Home grown fruits give an excellent home to our wildlife, pollinators especially such as the honeybee love fruit trees and bushes!

It would be fantastic to see some of your gardens or ideas to help encourage the bees, so please feel share to tag us or email us any pictures you may have.

Thanks for reading & *hive* a nice day!
