VEGAN FRIENDLY?

We love bees, in fact, without them we would not be able to offer you such amazing scents! However, we believe that bees are busy enough pollinating all our wonderful flowers, and what a great job they do too! Bees are an important part of our ecosystem, and without them zapping around from daisy to daffodil we would not be able to make our 100% natural scents. For that reason all our melts use 100% soya wax and are vegan friendly. 5% of all sales goes directly to bee conservation, helping build habitats and support research to help protect these vital pollinators.

 

ARE BEES DYING OUT?

In 2006 beekeepers around the world started reporting that their bee colonies were becoming abandoned. Adult bees simply disappeared from the hive, almost all at the same time, everywhere! The hives were deserted, nobody knew were they all went, but they knew they were not creating new hives elsewhere because they left the Queen behind all on her own. This is known as Colony Collapse Disorder, and the queen cannot survive without her workers. Whilst it is not know what causes this, some theorise that it is due to intensive bee, pastoral and arable farming, spreading parasites and disease, whilst others believe pesticides are to blame.  You can find more information from Friends of the Earth. 

 

WHAT DO HONEY SCENTS THINK?

We believe that the currant intensive faming is bad for our ecosystem, period. Intensive farming creates an ideal opportunity for parasites and disease to spread, fertilisers harm our rivers and oceans, destroying natural habitats.  It requires the use of pesticides and contributes to climate change. We think it is hardly surprising that bee colonies are collapsing.

 

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

HONEY SCENTS use 100% soya wax, lovingly enriched with our natural essential oil blends. Nothing artificial, no chemicals, just a touch of nature and a sprinkle of love. All our products are vegan friendly, contain no petroleum products or chemicals and are safe for the environment.

WILL THEY LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES?

All our wax melts are hand crafted to order, so whilst we do quality control to ensure consistency, due to the nature of handmade natural products there may be some slight variance in colour. This does not affect the scent of the product which remains consistent with each batch.

DELIVERY

All our products are handmade to order, packaged with care and love in our fully biodegradable & recyclable packaging at our facility overlooking the Pennine Hills in Lancashire. Because we want to make sure each product is made individually for you, and to ensure the freshest and longest lasting scents, we send orders weekly on a Friday 1st Class Royal Mail. All orders in by 7PM on Monday will be prepared through the week and sent out the following Friday. If you need your order sooner please contact us, we may be able to for a small fee.

We think you will love our creations, but should your handcrafted wax melts not meet your expectations or standards we will happily accept returns of unused products for a full refund within 30 days. Simply use the contact us form and we will arrange for the melts to be returned for a full refund*.
